I originally had a different brand of LED spots – looked very similar to these – which were very good but unfortunately nicked one evening by some toe rag. They were still going strong after about a year.

These ones did a job but were certainly not as bright as the previous ones. I guess the solar cells are not so good as they arrived fully charged and were quite bright but left to charge by their own devices, not so good. I know the weather’s not great this time of year but certainly my previous ones were a lot better at charging in low light.

I’m sure these would be OK on sunnier days but alas, I’ll never find out as these have again been pilfered, in less than a week! At least they weren’t too expensive. Seems pointless getting any more with the high amount of scum and villainy present in these dark times.

Next time they’ll have to be proper mains powered lights and cemented in to the ground. Possibly not earthed either as a further deterrent.
